About Aldeburgh Cottage

"The cottage is lovely. So nice to stay somewhere tastefully decorated and not chintzy! It felt very calm."

This luxury cottage in Aldeburgh sleeps 4 people (1 double, 1 twin) and is available year round for weekly rental and weekend breaks.

You will find more pictures of the interior on the other pages of this website and on our main website www.bestofsuffolk.co.uk.

Sitting Room

Furnished with a comfy leather sofa, easy chairs and a natural fibre rug, this room has an original open fireplace. We've purposefully kept the space clear of 'nick-nacks' but couldn't resist leaving Morris the Seagull on the mantelpiece. You'll also find a 15" flat screen TV and video player, a selection of books and games, plus leaflets about places you might like to visit.

Kitchen/Dining Room

Complete with a Smeg range cooker, Butler sink, old red brick floor and traditional pine table, the kitchen contains the practical things you'll need during your stay: a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster plus cupboards full of useful plates and glasses, cutlery and cookware.

Bathroom

This is one of our favourite rooms, with its slate floor and contemporary fittings. The large bath is great for relaxing in with a glass of wine after a day at the beach.

A winding staircase from the sitting room to the first floor takes you to a landing with doors to:

Bedroom 1

With white-washed floorboards, this light and airy bedroom contains a double bed, wardrobe, antique pine chest of drawers and bedside tables. The En-Suite Shower Room has a modern thermostatically controlled shower with mosaic blue tiles, a basin and w.c.

Bedroom 2

Overlooking the back garden and with white-washed floorboards, this room has two single beds with bedside tables, a chest of drawers and wardrobe. A travel cot is available on request.

Garden

The pretty enclosed patio garden has Habitat oak patio furniture and is a great spot for BBQs (as is the beach).

Utility Room

Entered via the back garden, the utility room contains a BBQ, washing machine and freezer, iron and ironing board as well as plenty of space for buckets and spades, walking boots and bicycles.

Parking

The garden gate leads onto a narrow lane which is shared for parking with other houses in the terrace.

"This is our first break away with our baby daughter and, contrary to expectation, it has been the most chilled out few days imaginable."
